Cassopolis, Michigan, November 3, 2025 – Members of the Cass County and St. Joseph County, Michigan Adult Treatment Courts were recently recognized by All Rise in its September Electronic Newsletter for their enthusiasm and support of the recovery process. The team members, led by Cass County District Court Judge Stacey Rentfrow, participated in the “Jump for Recovery” event at Skydive Grand Haven in July of this year – literally taking to the sky to raise awareness and hope for those going through the journey of recovery.

“Jump For Recovery” is an annual skydiving event co-founded by Carly Borgeld and Duke Frank to increase community support for those going through recovery. This year was the third year for the event. Reach for Recovery, a West Michigan nonprofit dedicated to serving to helping individuals and families impacted by substance abuse, assisted with the event this year, which took on a more formal event with food trucks, games, live music, and other activities for participants. In just three years, the event has grown from under ten participants to more than 100 people from the recovery community coming together this past July to support those jumping and celebrating sobriety.

“The Cass County Courts are fortunate to have a continuum of problem-solving courts to offer support to individuals impacted by substance abuse, including Family Treatment Court, Mental Health Treatment Court, Adult Treatment Court, and the Swift and Sure Sanctions Probation Program. The participants in these programs have demonstrated inspiring levels of strength, determination, and hope as they’ve embarked on their recovery journey. It is critical for individuals in recovery to have community support, and we were excited that All Rise chose to highlight the participation of Judge Rentfrow and our treatment court team members and participants in the Jump for Recovery event in Grand Haven,” remarked Chief Judge Carol M. Bealor.

In reflecting on her skydiving adventure, District Court Judge Stacey Rentfrow indicated, “Participating in Jump for Recovery provided a fantastic opportunity to highlight the importance of recovery and the hard work by those in our treatment court programs who work diligently every day to overcome challenges and maintain their sobriety. It was an honor to jump in support of those in recovery.”

All Rise is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 as the National Association of Drug Court Professionals and provides training and assistance at the local, state, and national levels for over 4,000 treatment court programs. For more information on All Rise, visit https://allrise.org.
